Pete Kerswell-Jensen
Pete, as Managing Director of RowFit has a passion for making a change in our sport. Having studied at the University of Worcester studying a Degree in Sports Studies he worked in Strength and Conditioning for over 10 years before starting RowFit.
Pete started competing properly through his mid-teens, competing at a high level as a Talent Athlete Scholar at British Team Trials and in later years has raced under City of Oxford Rowing Club at Henley Royal Regatta. In 2017 he retired from Elite Competition and focused on coaching. Pete also works as a Boatman for St Anne's, St Hugh's and Wadham Colleges; undertaking boat repairs, rigging duties and advise to the clubs on thier fleet.
Simon first started rowing when he was 13 has over 12 years of experience in the sport of rowing. Simon has been coaching for a number of years both teaching experienced athletes as well as those new to the sport.
Simon has competed at both National and International Events, and is still competing and training at a national level. He is also the current Mens Captain at City of Oxford Rowing Club.
Simon has a degree in City and Regional Planning from Oxford Brookes University and also completed the Advance Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence.
Having grown up around the sport, Sam has been rowing for 10+ years, since he was old enough to pick up a blade. Having done competitions on the rowing machine from the young age of 6, he turned to the water and started his competitive career around the age of 12. He had coached the juniors as well as novices of his home rowing club of Bexhill as well as online coaching of the juniors and novices of clubs in the south east of England from around the age of 15. He's taken every opportunity to learn from the masters of the sport, whether that be the highly successful rowers in his family or the olympians he's grown up knowing. Currently studying a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oxford Brookes University, he also coaches at Mansfield College, one of the Oxford University college clubs. He's competed at national and international level events, and has had over 2 years of experience training and racing with City of Oxford Rowing Club within the men's squad.
